Terms and Conditions for Online Sale of Pre-owned Books by PREOWNEDBOOKS.NG
1. Book Condition:
All books offered for sale must be in great condition, free from significant damage, markings, or other defects that may affect the overall quality.
2. Visual Documentation:
Sellers are required to provide two (2) clear pictures and one (1) video for each book listed for sale. The visuals should accurately represent the current condition of the book.
3. Marketing and Advertising:
Our platform will handle the marketing and advertising of the listed books, including the creation of promotional materials, social media posts, and online advertisements.
4. Delivery Responsibility:
a. Sellers are responsible for arranging the delivery to the buyer’s specified address, while buyer covers cost of delivery.
b. Sellers must use reliable shipping methods to ensure the safe and timely delivery of the purchased books.
5. Commission Structure:
a. For each successful sale, our platform will retain a 25% commission on the total sale amount.
b. The remaining 75% of the sale amount will be disbursed to the seller.
6. Payment Process:
a. Payment to the seller will be processed once the buyer has received and accepted the book in the condition as described.
b. Payment will be made through the agreed-upon payment method, and the seller shall provide accurate and up-to-date payment details.
7. Returns and Refunds:
a. In the event that a buyer is dissatisfied with the received book due to discrepancies between the description and the actual condition, a return and refund may be initiated.
b. Sellers must promptly address and resolve any issues related to the condition of the book, and refunds may be processed accordingly.
8. Listing Accuracy:
Sellers are responsible for providing accurate and truthful information about the books listed for sale, including details about the condition, edition, and any other relevant information.
9. Communication: Sellers are expected to respond promptly to buyer inquiries by providing required information to us and provide additional information or clarification when requested.
10. Dispute Resolution:
In the event of a dispute between the buyer and the seller, our platform may intervene to facilitate a resolution. Both parties agree to cooperate in good faith during this process.
11. Termination of Listing:
Our platform reserves the right to remove or suspend the listing of any book that does not meet the specified criteria or violates these terms and conditions.
12. Modification of Terms:
These terms and conditions may be updated or modified by our platform, and sellers will be notified of any changes.
By listing a book for sale on our platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by these terms and conditions. Failure to comply with these terms may result in the removal of your listing.
